CAPPING DAY AT SMK: The Capping Day ceremony at SMK Ki Hajar Dewantara Kotapinang marks the induction of 40 nursing assistant students, symbolizing their readiness to enter the healthcare sector.

LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Capping Day ceremony at SMK Ki Hajar Dewantara Kotapinang stood as more than an annual tradition—it delivered a clear message that the healthcare sector leaves no room for unpreparedness. A total of 40 12th-grade nursing assistant students were formally inducted during a solemn ceremony held at the school's multipurpose hall, where they also took their professional oath.

The atmosphere turned emotional as each student received the traditional nursing cap, symbolizing their transition from classroom learning to real-world clinical practice. The moment marked a critical step into a profession that demands discipline, empathy, and mental resilience.

The ceremony drew prominent figures from the Ki Hajar Dewantara Foundation, including Chairman Drs. H. Naga Parlaungan Lubis, M.Pd., Advisor Hj. Eriani Harahap, S.Pd., and Supervisor Andi Syahputra Lubis, S.H., M.H. Representatives from the Labuhanbatu Selatan Health Office, led by Hj. Foundation Chairman Drs. H. Naga Parlaungan Lubis, M.Pd., emphasized that the ceremony represents a profound responsibility beyond symbolism.

"This is an oath of service. It must not end in this room but be reflected in daily actions in service to society," he stated.

Supervisor Andi Syahputra Lubis, S.H., M.H., highlighted the school's strategic vision to expand its influence at the provincial level, including outreach to border regions such as Aceh, Riau, and West Sumatra.
