DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The government of Deli Serdang Regency held a Tepung Tawar ceremony and Hajj training (Manasik) for 562 prospective pilgrims of the 1447 H year on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Grha Bhineka Perkasa Jaya, Lubuk Pakam.
The event was officially opened by the Deputy Regent of Deli Serdang, Lom Lom Suwondo, highlighting its importance in providing spiritual and practical preparation for pilgrims before their journey to the Holy Land.Read Also:
Attendees included Asniar Lom Suwondo, Chairperson of the Family Character Development Division of TP PKK Deli Serdang; Dedi Maswardy, Regional Secretary of Deli Serdang; Hj Nurlela, Head of the Hajj and Umrah Office in Deli Serdang; H Kaya Hasibuan MA, Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Deli Serdang; and other government officials.

Deputy Regent Lom Lom Suwondo emphasized that performing Hajj is a special call from Allah SWT, which should be met with gratitude.

He also reminded pilgrims to maintain their health and prepare themselves thoroughly to perform the Hajj rituals with focus and devotion. He requested that pilgrims pray for the advancement of Deli Serdang and its leaders while visiting sacred sites during the pilgrimage.

Faisal Rahman Panjaitan, Head of the Welfare Section at the Deli Serdang Secretariat, reported that this year's pilgrims include 562 individuals, consisting of 221 men and 341 women.
"They will be accompanied by 12 Hajj officers organized into Groups Kloter 10 and Kloter 15," he said.Read Also:
