ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - At the beginning of his tenure as Aceh Tengah Police Chief, AKBP Teguh Siswoyo, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., has sought direct engagement with the community. As part of the "Safari Subuh Rabu Berkah" program, he visited Az-Zikra Mosque in Lot Kala Village, Kebayakan District, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
The event provided the Aceh Tengah Police Chief with an opportunity to introduce himself personally while further strengthening relations between the police and the community. During the meeting, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, AKBP Teguh Siswoyo called on all elements of society to provide support and work together to maintain security and public order, locally known as Kamtibmas, in Aceh Tengah.
He also urged residents to pay greater attention to their surroundings, protect the environment, and use social media responsibly and wisely. In his view, creating a safe and comfortable environment requires the participation of all segments of society and cannot be left solely to the police.
"The police cannot work alone. We need the support of the entire community to jointly maintain Kamtibmas in Aceh Tengah. Let us remind one another to do good and, in doing so, create a safe and comfortable environment," said AKBP Teguh Siswoyo.
AKBP Teguh Siswoyo explained that the police have a broad range of responsibilities in providing public services. In addition to maintaining security and public order and enforcing the law, protecting and serving the community are also key responsibilities of the police.
For this reason, he considers cooperation with village administrations, Sarakopat, religious leaders, traditional leaders, and the wider community to be an important part of maintaining security and stability in Aceh Tengah. Open communication between the police and residents can also help find solutions to various problems that arise in people's daily lives.
The Police Chief hopes residents will have no hesitation in raising security or social issues in their respective areas. Through effective dialogue, police and community members can take preventive measures together before individual problems develop into disturbances of public security and order.
In his view, engaging with residents through religious activities such as the "Safari Subuh" is also an opportunity to strengthen bonds within the community. The gathering was not only intended to convey security-related messages but also provided a space for dialogue between the police, regional government, community leaders, and residents.

On the occasion, the Aceh Tengah Police Chief also appealed to residents to protect the environment. He reminded them that greater environmental awareness is an important part of efforts to prevent various potential disasters.
AKBP Teguh Siswoyo emphasized that residents have an important role to play in protecting the environment around their homes. He called on the public to avoid activities that could harm nature and to continue strengthening collective awareness of the importance of a balanced ecosystem.
"We must protect nature together. Disasters can also occur as a result of human negligence in protecting and managing the environment. Let us do good, preserve nature, and pray that Aceh Tengah will be protected from various disasters," he said.
The Police Chief also urged residents to make environmental protection part of their daily lives. In his view, maintaining cleanliness and preserving nature are not solely the responsibility of the government or authorities, but a shared responsibility.
In addition to environmental protection, the Police Chief also spoke about the role of mosques in community life. He explained that a mosque is not merely a place of worship, but can also serve as a space for strengthening social ties, consultation, and fostering a sense of community.
Through good communication and joint consultation, residents can discuss various issues together. The Police Chief hopes a culture of mutual respect and collaborative problem-solving through dialogue will continue to be strengthened so that different challenges can be addressed calmly.

AKBP Teguh Siswoyo subsequently reminded residents to be particularly careful when receiving and sharing information through social media. He urged people to verify the accuracy of information before passing it on to others.
According to the Police Chief, irresponsible use of social media can create unrest when unverified information is circulated. Therefore, he called on all residents to work together to maintain a healthy digital environment and prevent social media from becoming a source of conflict or security problems.
The appeal is part of efforts to strengthen public awareness amid the increasingly rapid flow of information. Residents must not only contribute to security in their immediate surroundings but also help maintain a stable social environment through responsible conduct in the digital space.
The Police Chief once again emphasized the importance of joint engagement between the police and the community in maintaining security in Aceh Tengah. He hopes existing cooperation can be further strengthened through communication, mutual awareness, and a willingness to support one another.
"Let us jointly maintain Kamtibmas in Aceh Tengah for a better Aceh Tengah. Musara Ate, Sara Tuju," said AKBP Teguh Siswoyo in closing.
Meanwhile, Deputy Regent of Aceh Tengah Muchsin Hasan said the regional government had proposed follow-up measures for the construction of the ground floor of Az-Zikra Mosque. He also described the "Safari Subuh Rabu Berkah" as an effective platform for gathering the concerns and aspirations of residents.
According to Muchsin Hasan, the event also strengthened communication between the regional government, police, and community. Direct meetings of this kind provide residents with an opportunity to voice their concerns while discussing various needs in their respective areas.
The "Safari Subuh Rabu Berkah" then continued with a religious address, known as a Tausiyah Subuh, delivered by Tgk. H. Fakhruddin. The address concluded the event, which brought together government representatives, police personnel, religious leaders, community leaders, and residents.
The event was also attended by numerous officials and community figures from the region. They included, among others, the Chairman of the Aceh Tengah MPU, Rector of IAIN Takengon Prof. Dr. Ridwan Nurdin, MCL., the Secretary of the Aceh Tengah Regency Government, Chairman of DMI Aceh Tengah Drs. H. Hamdan, M.A., representatives of the Aceh Tengah Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, several heads of SKPK, the Head of Kebayakan District, the Head of Kebayakan Police Station, the Head of the Community Protection Unit, officers from Aceh Tengah Police Headquarters, and numerous residents.
The presence of representatives from various sectors demonstrates the importance of cross-sector cooperation in maintaining security and building harmonious community life. Through continuous communication and cooperation, the police, regional government, and community can strengthen their joint efforts to maintain a safe and orderly Aceh Tengah while promoting environmental awareness, social responsibility, and harmonious coexistence.
