Residents of Kota Pinang responded positively to this direct engagement. Many viewed the initiative as a refreshing change in the relationship between local government and the community.
One resident noted that while social assistance has existed before, direct involvement from a local leader at this level is rare."We have never experienced this before. A Lurah coming personally to deliver aid is deeply touching and gives us new hope," he said.
Long-Term Commitment to Social WelfareAs the capital of South Labuhanbatu Regency, Kota Pinang faces ongoing social challenges, including population growth and equitable distribution of social assistance. According to Mirwan, these issues require an active and responsive local administration.
He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening community-based social programs, including poverty reduction initiatives, improved public services, and closer collaboration between the government and residents."If not us, then who? Commitment must begin with small actions and from within our immediate surroundings," he stated.
With this early initiative, Mirwan underscores his leadership approach—not merely as an administrative role, but as a direct responsibility to the people. (IDNC)REPORTER: Jhon Fitra Sagala | EDITOR: Fik Sagala
