MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM - North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution has expressed his appreciation for Caroline Cicilia Nababan, an elementary school student from Rantau Selatan District, Labuhanbatu Regency, after she successfully represented Indonesia and won a gold medal at the Asia Science & Mathematics Competition (ASMC) Global Round 2026 in Malaysia.
Bobby delivered his appreciation when he welcomed Caroline on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the North Sumatra Governor's Office in Medan. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The governor not only congratulated Caroline for her outstanding achievement but also provided various forms of support to encourage her educational development and future accomplishments.Caroline's success as a champion of an international science and mathematics competition has become a source of pride for North Sumatra and Indonesia. Caroline also expressed her hope of receiving a scholarship from the Governor of North Sumatra to support her education in the future.The request received a positive response from Bobby.
