ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Aceh Tengah Police on Thursday, July 30, 2026, began the construction of a livable house for an underprivileged resident in Pucuk Deku Village, Bies Subdistrict, Aceh Tengah Regency. The social program was marked by a foundation stone-laying ceremony, reflecting the commitment of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to support communities in need of better housing facilities.
The recipient of the house construction assistance is Nur Cahaya, 33, a farmer who resides in Pucuk Deku Village. Through the construction of the house, the Aceh Tengah Police aims to provide her and her family with a safer, more comfortable, and more suitable place to live.The foundation stone-laying ceremony was carried out by the Head of the Human Resources Division of the Aceh Tengah Police, Kompol Ahmad Yani, S.H., who represented the Aceh Tengah Police Chief, AKBP Muhamad Taufiq, S.I.K., M.H. The event was also attended by the Pegasing Police Chief, personnel from the Aceh Tengah Police and Pegasing Police Station, village officials, community leaders, and members of the beneficiary's family.
On the occasion, Kompol Ahmad Yani stated that the construction of a livable house represents a concrete form of the police's presence among the community. According to him, the duties of the police are not limited to maintaining security and public order but also include social responsibility through various activities that directly benefit residents.
"We hope this assistance can help reduce the burden on the community while encouraging greater awareness of mutual cooperation and solidarity," he said.He expressed hope that the program would bring positive impacts to the beneficiary family while strengthening the relationship between the police and the public. The involvement of police personnel in social activities is expected to foster a sense of togetherness and increase concern for the living conditions of surrounding communities.
