LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Labuhanbatu Selatan Police conducted a raid on a suspected drug hideout in Sisumut Village, Sisumut Pekan hamlet, Kota Pinang District, North Sumatra, on Sunday (April 19, 2026) at around 2:30 p.m. However, the operation yielded no evidence of narcotics or illegal activities.
Tip-Off from Residents Triggers RaidThe operation was carried out by Unit I of the Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) following public reports alleging methamphetamine (sabu) trafficking in the area. A man identified by the initials ND, also known as Nanda, was reportedly the main subject of the investigation.

Empty Scene, No Narcotics Discovered
Upon arrival, officers found the suspected site completely deserted. No individuals or suspicious activities were observed in or around the premises. A thorough search of the building also produced no drugs, paraphernalia, or supporting evidence.Local hamlet head Cipta Nasution was present during the raid and confirmed that the operation concluded without any findings. Authorities suspect that any potential suspects may have been alerted in advance or are operating in a highly mobile and difficult-to-trace manner.

Despite the unsuccessful outcome, the Labuhanbatu Selatan Police emphasized that the investigation will continue.
"We remain committed to following up every report related to drug crimes. Even though no evidence was found this time, we will continue our investigation until the network is uncovered," said AKP Sahat Marulam Lumban Gaol on behalf of Police Chief AKBP Aditya S.P. Sembiring Muham.The police also urged the public to continue reporting suspicious activities through the emergency hotline 110. (IDNC)
