Polda Jambi Reconstructs Rape Case Across Three Crime Scenes

JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Jambi Regional Police (Polda Jambi) conducted a reconstruction on Friday, April 24, 2026, in a sexual violence (rape) case across three separate locations. The procedure was carried out to clarify the sequence of events and strengthen ongoing investigations.

Investigators Reconstruct Timeline at Multiple Locations

Several senior police officials attended the reconstruction directly at the crime scenes. They included Irwasda Polda Jambi Kombes Pol. Jannus P. Siregar, Director of Criminal Investigation Kombes Pol. Jimmy Christian Samma, and Head of Internal Affairs (Propam) Kombes Pol. Darno. Representatives from the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) were also present to ensure external oversight and transparency.

Dirreskrimum Polda Jambi Kombes Pol. Jimmy Christian Samma stated that the reconstruction was conducted to verify and match the suspect's statements with the actual conditions at the scene.

"This reconstruction is intended to ensure that the chronology of events aligns with investigative findings and strengthens the evidentiary process in the ongoing legal proceedings," he explained.

Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Krisno H. Siregar, through police spokesperson Kombes Pol. Erlan Munaji, reaffirmed that all cases are handled professionally, transparently, and accountably.

"The Jambi Police Chief emphasizes that every criminal case, especially those with high public attention, is processed professionally, transparently, and accountably. The reconstruction is an important part of ensuring the legal process is properly conducted," said Erlan Munaji.

He also stressed that beyond legal proceedings, victim protection remains a top priority.
