JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Regional Police of Jambi (Polda Jambi) has dishonorably discharged four of its personnel after they were found guilty of violating the Indonesian National Police Professional Code of Ethics (Kode Etik Profesi Polri). The dismissal was carried out during an official ceremony at the "Lapangan Hitam" of the Polda Jambi Police Headquarters, led directly by Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Krisno H. Siregar.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General B. Ali, representatives from the Ombudsman of Jambi, members of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas RI), the Internal Oversight Division (Irwasda), senior officers, and numerous personnel of Polda Jambi.
Formal Ceremony at Police Headquarters
During the ceremony, the official decree confirming the dismissal of the four officers was read aloud. Their badges were then removed, and their portraits were symbolically marked with a cross. Two of the dismissed officers were not present at the event, resulting in an in absentia dismissal process.
The officers dismissed from service are Brigpol Derry Adriansyah, Briptu Yosva Rengga, Bripda Samson Pardamean, and Bripda Nabil Ijlal Fadlul.

Firm Stance on Discipline and Ethics
In his address, Inspector General Krisno H. Siregar emphasized that the decision reflects the police institution's firm commitment to upholding discipline and ethical standards.
"This dishonorable discharge ceremony is a clear demonstration of the police's seriousness in enforcing the Professional Code of Ethics," he stated.
He further stressed that any violation of regulations would be met with strict consequences.
"Anyone who breaks the rules must be prepared to face dishonorable dismissal. Professionalism in every duty is absolutely essential," Krisno added.

Call for Reflection and Institutional Integrity
The Police Chief also urged all personnel to use the incident as a moment for self-reflection.
"Let this serve as a lesson for all of us, especially members of Polda Jambi, to carry out our duties responsibly and in accordance with regulations," he said.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Jambi, Kombes Pol Erlan Munaji, reinforced the institution's stance, stating that the enforcement of ethics remains firm, professional, and transparent.
"The enforcement of the ethical code continues to be carried out strictly, professionally, and transparently," he explained.
He added that the leadership maintains zero tolerance for violations that damage the institution's reputation, with the aim of strengthening discipline, integrity, and professionalism across all ranks. (IDNC)
