LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM - The Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah celebration in Torgamba District was held in a safe, orderly, and festive atmosphere on Tuesday evening, May 26, 2026. Hundreds of students from the Islamic boarding school Pondok Pesantren El Firdaus Cikampak took part in a torchlight parade that drew enthusiastic responses from local residents.
The event was secured directly by personnel from the Torgamba Police Sector under the leadership of Police Chief AKP Sunipan Gurusinga, SH. Officers were deployed on-site to ensure the religious procession ran smoothly and safely.A total of 10 police officers were assigned to secure the parade route. Prior to the event, the police chief conducted a briefing session to ensure full readiness of all personnel involved in the operation.

The torchlight parade began at Pondok Pesantren El Firdaus, located in Cinta Makmur Hamlet, Aek Batu Village, Torgamba District, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency. Around 150 participants joined the procession, marching along the Cikampak–Riau Trans-Sumatra Highway (Jalinsum) while chanting Takbir and carrying torches.
The route passed from the boarding school grounds to the main road, continued to the Simpang Tunggu Cikampak roundabout, and then returned to the starting point.
