JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM - The Jambi Regional Police (Polda Jambi) has once again transferred and reassigned a number of senior officers and police chiefs within its jurisdiction. The changes are part of the organizational dynamics within the Indonesian National Police (Polri), while also serving as a means of career development, organizational renewal and the optimization of policing duties.
The personnel changes are stipulated in Telegram Letters ST/1878/VIII/KEP./2026 and ST/1879/VIII/KEP./2026, dated August 30, 2026. Both telegrams were signed by Police Brigadier General Dr. Hendra Imrawan, Head of the Career Development Division of the Human Resources Staff at Polri Headquarters (Karo Binkar SSDM Polri).
Under the decision, several officers will take on new assignments, both within Polda Jambi and in other regions. The changes also affect several police chiefs serving within the jurisdiction of Polda Jambi.
The decision also places new names in strategic positions. Polda Jambi described the changes as part of an organizational process aimed at maintaining the effectiveness of police operations and public services.
One of the changes involves the position of Head of the Professional and Internal Security Division (Kabid Propam) at Polda Jambi. Police Commissioner Darno is leaving the position and will take on a new assignment as a senior-level Propam examiner at Polri Headquarters (Pemeriksa Propam Kepolisian Madya Tk. III Divpropam Polri).
Police Commissioner Robert Antoni Sormin has been appointed as the new Head of the Propam Division at Polda Jambi. Previously, Robert Antoni Sormin served as a senior-level Propam examiner at Polri Headquarters.
The position of Head of the Finance Division at Polda Jambi has also been reassigned. Police Commissioner Erwin Fardiansyah Tossin, S.I.K., will assume the position of Head of the Finance Division at the West Java Regional Police (Polda Jawa Barat).
The vacant position in Jambi will be filled by Police Commissioner A'an Hardiansyah, who has been appointed as the new Head of the Finance Division at Polda Jambi. Previously, A'an Hardiansyah served as Head of the Finance Division at the Gorontalo Regional Police (Polda Gorontalo).
The changes add to the list of personnel reshuffles within Polda Jambi's leadership structure outlined in the two Telegram Letters issued on August 30, 2026.
In addition to senior officers at the regional police level, the transfers also involve several police chiefs within the jurisdiction of Polda Jambi. They include the police chiefs of Batanghari, Tanjung Jabung Barat and Kerinci.

At the regional level, the former Batanghari Police Chief, Police Commissioner Arya Tesa Brahmana, will take on a new assignment as Head of the Career Development Division within the Human Resources Staff of Polda Jambi (Kabag Binkar Ro SDM Polda Jambi). Following his transfer, Polda Jambi appointed Police Commissioner Doni Aryanto as the new Batanghari Police Chief.
Before being appointed Batanghari Police Chief, Doni Aryanto served as Head of Sub-Directorate 2 of the Criminal Investigation Directorate at Polda Jambi (Kasubdit 2 Ditreskrimum Polda Jambi). In his new role, he will lead the police force responsible for the Batanghari jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, Tanjung Jabung Barat Police Chief Police Commissioner Maulia Kuswicaksono has also received a new assignment. He has been appointed Deputy Director of the Narcotics Investigation Directorate at Polda Jambi (Wadir Resnarkoba Polda Jambi).
The position of Tanjung Jabung Barat Police Chief will be assumed by Police Commissioner Ramadhanil. Before his new appointment, Ramadhanil served as Police Chief of Kerinci.
A leadership change will also take place at the Kerinci Police. Polda Jambi has appointed Police Commissioner Hernawan Rizky Yudhantoro as the new Kerinci Police Chief. Previously, Hernawan Rizky Yudhantoro served as Head of Sub-Directorate I of the Special Crimes Investigation Directorate at Polda Jambi (Kasubdit I Ditreskrimsus Polda Jambi).
The transfers have therefore changed the leadership composition of several regional police units under Polda Jambi. The officers assigned to new positions will assume their respective responsibilities once the transfer process has been completed.
The rotation of police chiefs is an important part of organizational dynamics within the police force, as the respective officeholders are directly responsible for maintaining security and public order within their jurisdictions.

Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Krisno H. Siregar, through Polda Jambi Public Relations Division Head Police Commissioner Erlan Munaji, said that transfers and rotations are part of personnel development within Polri.
According to him, the personnel changes are not only intended to facilitate organizational renewal but are also part of officers' career development. The measure is expected to further improve the organization's effectiveness in carrying out its policing duties.
"Transfers and rotations are a normal part of the dynamics within Polri. In addition to career development, they also support organizational renewal so that police duties can be carried out more optimally," the Head of Polda Jambi's Public Relations Division said on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Polda Jambi Headquarters.
The statement makes clear that the replacement and reassignment of several leadership positions within Polda Jambi are part of Polri's organizational mechanism. Officers affected by the transfers are expected to adapt as quickly as possible to their new areas of responsibility and respective work environments.
For officers appointed as police chiefs, a key challenge is to maintain security and stability while ensuring quality police services for the public. For Polda Jambi's senior officers, meanwhile, the changes are expected to strengthen their respective areas of expertise and provide comprehensive support for police operations.
The transfers listed in Telegram Letters ST/1878/VIII/KEP./2026 and ST/1879/VIII/KEP./2026 are also part of the organizational restructuring within Polri. Through the new leadership composition, Polda Jambi aims to ensure that police duties, from the regional police level down to local police units, can be carried out more effectively and optimally.
