LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM - Strengthening public awareness on road safety remains a key priority for the Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the Labuhanbatu Selatan Police. Through the "Polantas Menyapa" program, the Community and Safety Division (Kamsel) conducted direct education and training sessions for drivers and road users in Sosopan Village, Kotapinang District, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency.

Satlantas Polres Labuhanbatu Selatan continues to apply a humanistic policing approach to foster a culture of traffic discipline within the community. Officers engaged directly with daily drivers, emphasizing that road safety is not merely a regulation, but a fundamental necessity for everyone on the road.

Amid increasing traffic density and the ongoing risk of accidents, officers remain actively present in the field to reduce violations and prevent serious traffic incidents.

During the outreach activity, officers delivered persuasive and interactive education sessions. Drivers were reminded to drive cautiously, avoid risky behavior, obey traffic signs, and show respect for other road users.

They also highlighted the importance of carrying complete driving documents, including a valid driving license (SIM) and vehicle registration (STNK). The use of SNI-certified helmets was strongly emphasized as part of efforts to support safe and orderly traffic conditions (Kamseltibcar Lantas).

Labuhanbatu Selatan Police Chief AKBP Aditya S.P. Sembiring, through Traffic Unit Head AKP Yustina, stated that the "Polantas Menyapa" program reflects the police's commitment to public safety on the road.

"Traffic safety is not only the responsibility of the police but a shared duty. Through this activity, we aim to remind the public, especially drivers, to always prioritize their own safety and that of others," said AKP Yustina.

"We hope a stronger culture of traffic discipline will continue to grow in society, reducing violations and accidents," she added.
