JAKARTA | INDATANEWS.COM - Pidie Jaya Regent H. Sibral Malasyi, MA, S.Sos., M.E., and Deputy Regent Hasan Basri, ST., MM, are actively seeking support from the Indonesian central government to accelerate the recovery and reconstruction process in Pidie Jaya Regency following recent flooding.
Both leaders held strategic meetings in Jakarta with different focuses but a shared objective: strengthening public services affected by the disaster, particularly in the health and education sectors, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.Sibral Malasyi held discussions with representatives of the Indonesian Ministry of Health regarding the reconstruction and rehabilitation needs of healthcare facilities. Meanwhile, Deputy Regent Hasan Basri met with the Chairman of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) to push for the acceleration of rehabilitation efforts for madrasas damaged by the floods.
During a meeting held at the Adyatma Building of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Regent Sibral Malasyi outlined several priority needs of Pidie Jaya Regency in the healthcare sector.
The discussion covered the acceleration of the construction of a Type C hospital, the establishment of a Public Health Laboratory (Labkesmas), and a proposal to rebuild the Bandar Dua Community Health Center (Puskesmas Bandar Dua), which was damaged by the floods.In addition to developing new facilities, the Pidie Jaya Regency Government also requested the rehabilitation of several healthcare facilities affected by the disaster. These efforts are aimed at ensuring that public health services can return to optimal operation following the flood emergency.
Sibral Malasyi emphasized that collaboration between the central and regional governments plays a crucial role in accelerating reconstruction efforts and developing a stronger healthcare system."Cooperation between the central government and regional governments is the key to accelerating the recovery of healthcare services and building a stronger and more resilient health sector in the future," he said.
According to Sibral, central government support is urgently needed so that Pidie Jaya can quickly restore essential public service facilities damaged by the disaster. Through this assistance, the regional government hopes residents will once again receive optimal healthcare services.During the meeting, Hasan Basri directly submitted a request for support to rehabilitate various levels of madrasas, including Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), and Madrasah Aliyah (MA), which were damaged by the flooding.
The Pidie Jaya Government hopes the proposal will receive support from the central government so that repairs to educational facilities can be implemented immediately.Hasan Basri stated that restoring education infrastructure is one of the government's priorities because it directly affects the continuity of students' learning processes.
