LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM – The Traffic Unit of the Labuhanbatu Selatan Police (Satlantas Polres Labuhanbatu Selatan) installed road safety warning banners along several high-risk points on the Trans-Sumatra Road (Jalinsum) on Sunday, May 10, 2026. The initiative aims to reduce traffic accidents caused by heavy vehicle flow along this strategic transportation route.
The installation focused on two accident-prone locations: the Simaninggir area along the Kotapinang–Gunung Tua route and the road segment in front of the district head's office on the Sosopan–Gunung Tua corridor.Read Also:
The operation was directly supervised by officers Brigpol Julhamadi Munthe and Bripda Tondi Harahap, who ensured that all warning banners were properly installed at designated points.

Labuhanbatu Selatan Police Chief AKBP Aditya S.P. Sembiring Muham, through Traffic Unit Head AKP Yustina, stated that the program is part of a preventive strategy to reduce road accidents.

She also noted that the Trans-Sumatra Road under the jurisdiction of Labuhanbatu Selatan Police experiences high daily traffic volume, including private vehicles, trucks, and inter-regional transport vehicles that often travel at high speeds.
