DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - Deli Serdang Regional Secretary Dedi Maswardy officially launched the construction of the Hamparan Perak Town Square by laying the foundation stone in Paya Bakung Village on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
The construction of the public facility is part of the Deli Serdang Regency Government's efforts to provide an open space that residents can use for various activities. The town square is also expected to support social activities and serve as a meeting place for residents across Hamparan Perak District.Several representatives of the regional and village administrations attended the foundation-laying ceremony. The presence of government officials reflected institutional support for the development of the site, which local residents have been anticipating for some time.
Paya Bakung Village Head Harmianto welcomed the construction of the Hamparan Perak Town Square. He said residents had long hoped for the establishment of such a public facility in Paya Bakung Village.
"On behalf of the residents of Hamparan Perak District, particularly those of Paya Bakung Village, we would like to express our gratitude to the Deli Serdang Regency Government. We have long hoped that this town square would be built in Paya Bakung," he said.According to Harmianto, the construction of the town square is welcome news for the community. In addition to providing an open space, the facility is expected to support various activities organized by residents throughout Hamparan Perak.
