DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Authorities in Deli Serdang Regency have confirmed that all victims of the landslide in Sembahe Village, Kecamatan Sibolangit, North Sumatra, Indonesia, have been recovered. The joint search and rescue (SAR) operation has officially concluded, while cleanup and safety measures continue in other affected areas.
The head of the Deli Serdang Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Mukti Ali Harahap, stated that the evacuation and recovery of all victims were completed on Wednesday evening, April 8, 2026."All victims of the Sembahe landslide have been found and evacuated. The joint SAR operation is officially concluded. Our focus now is on post-disaster management at the affected sites," emphasized Mukti.

Read Also:In Kecamatan Sibolangit, including the villages of Batu Belin and Tambunen, roads have been cleared of landslide debris. However, some road sections remain single-lane, requiring caution for drivers.
"There are landslide-affected areas in five villages in Sibolangit. In Tambunen, the road can currently only be used as a single lane," explained Mukti.
