DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The DPW PKB North Sumatra team has dismissed reports claiming that two candidates for the chairmanship of DPC PKB Deli Serdang were eliminated ahead of the Musyawarah Cabang (Muscab) on Monday, April 6, 2026.
Six Candidates Remain in the Race
Putra Ramadanah, representative of DPW PKB North Sumatra, told journalists that no name was removed from the official selection process.

"All six candidates come from the official party selection and remain in the race," he stated.
The candidates include Purwaningrum, Rakhmadsyah, Mhd. Hasan Elkholqiyah – a member of the Deli Serdang DPRD for the PKB faction – as well as the incumbent chair Said Hadi, Julyadi Pulungan, and Rabuono, all dedicated PKB cadres.
DPAC Suggestions Considered Only as Additional Input
Putra Ramadanah explained that recommendations from several Dewan Pimpinan Anak Cabang (DPAC) to disregard two names were merely suggestions, not final party decisions.

"The DPAC proposals were taken as additional notes. The final evaluation, however, remains fully under the responsibility of the DPP PKB," he emphasized.

Chairmanship Selection Process Continues
Ashari Tambunan, chairman of DPW PKB North Sumatra, stated during the Muscab opening that the election for DPC Deli Serdang's chair is not yet concluded and will continue at the central level.
"After the Muscab, the process proceeds at the DPP. There are at least two more steps, including a competency test and an additional phase, before a final decision is made," Ashari said.
He added that all nominated candidates still have equal opportunities.
"Everyone has the potential to become chair. We all know who possesses the necessary capacity," he noted.
Reports suggesting candidate removals do not reflect the party's official mechanism. All officially selected candidates remain in the running and will continue to be evaluated by the DPP PKB. (IDNC)
