LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM The vital access route for residents of Dusun Padangan, Parimburan Village, Sungai Kanan District, South Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra, has officially reopened after the Merah Putih Presisi Bridge, previously damaged due to ground subsidence, was rapidly restored.

Authorities, in coordination with relevant agencies, successfully completed emergency repairs in a short period, allowing the main transportation link for daily community activities to function normally again.

Following the completion of repair works, the bridge is now fully operational without restrictions. The structural restoration has returned mobility to residents, reconnecting Parimburan Village with Hutagodang Village and helping revive local economic activity.

The bridge had previously been disrupted after sections of its surface subsided due to heavy usage and soil conditions, significantly affecting inter-village transportation.

The Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam), together with village officials, conducted a direct inspection of the bridge to ensure its safety and stability.

The inspection team included the Labuhanbatu Selatan Police Chief, represented by IPTU Apri Sudiarno Damanik, Head of Sungai Kanan Police Sector; Sub-district Head Yusran Hasian Harahap; military representative from Koramil 12 Langgapayung, Sergeant Rozi Rambe; Acting Village Head Pardamean Siregar, S.T.; along with other officials and local security personnel.

The team specifically examined the asphalt-filled areas that had previously subsided to ensure the bridge's structural integrity.

Police Highlight Community-Oriented Response & Public Gratitude

Labuhanbatu Selatan Police Chief AKBP Aditya S.P. Sembiring Muham, S.I.K., through Iptu Apri Sudiarno Damanik, emphasized that the rapid restoration reflects the police's commitment to serving the community.

"This bridge is a vital lifeline between Parimburan and Hutagodang. When it was damaged, daily activities were immediately disrupted. That is why we acted quickly," he stated.

He also stressed that the police continue to play an active role not only in maintaining security and order but also in supporting solutions to community issues, particularly infrastructure-related challenges.

Residents of Dusun Padangan expressed their gratitude for the swift response, noting that the bridge plays a crucial role in transporting agricultural goods and supporting daily mobility.

After approximately seven days of repair work, the Merah Putih Presisi Bridge has been fully restored. The collaboration between government agencies, security forces, and local communities is seen as a strong example of effective infrastructure recovery.
