ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM – The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Aceh Tengah Police has intensified its night patrol operations to effectively prevent conventional crimes and street-related offenses within its jurisdiction. The operation was conducted on Sunday night, May 24, 2026, starting at 10:00 p.m. WIB and continued until the early hours of the morning.
Officers swept through several high-risk locations, including parking areas, poorly lit streets, remote zones, and public spaces with nighttime community activity. The initiative aims to take preventive action against potential security disturbances while strengthening public order and safety.The operation follows a directive issued by the Aceh Regional Police Chief through Telegram Letter No. ST/258/V/RES.1.24/2026 dated May 23, 2026, which instructs intensified efforts to suppress conventional crimes and street crime across the jurisdiction of the Aceh Regional Police.

A total of nine personnel from the Rapid Response Unit (Unit Reaksi Cepat/URC) of the Aceh Tengah Police participated in the night patrol. The team conducted mobile patrols, monitored real-time security conditions, and identified potential crime-prone areas.

"These patrols are carried out consistently to prevent street crime and other conventional offenses. The presence of police in public spaces is intended to create a sense of security while limiting opportunities for criminal activity," said AKP Abdul Mufakhir.
During the operation, officers also delivered safety appeals to motorcyclists and car drivers, urging extra caution when traveling at night and in the early morning hours.The Aceh Tengah Police reaffirmed their commitment to continuously strengthen patrols and surveillance in vulnerable areas to maintain a stable, orderly, and secure regional environment.
