LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM - The Labuhanbatu Selatan Police narcotics unit has dismantled a methamphetamine distribution network in Kandang Motor hamlet, Aekbatu Village, Torgamba District. The operation, carried out on Tuesday evening (April 28, 2026) at around 8:30 p.m., led to the arrest of three men suspected of involvement in illegal drug trafficking.
The investigation was initiated following public reports submitted through the "Dumas Presisi" service, with residents flagging suspicious activities in Lorong Bangun Jadi alley. Acting on the information, officers conducted targeted surveillance and on-site investigations.Swift Arrests in Coordinated Operation
Read Also:The first suspect, identified as S alias Pardi (46), was apprehended during the initial raid. Police confiscated eight small plastic packets containing methamphetamine, weighing a total of 2.38 grams gross. A pipette spoon and a mobile phone were also seized as evidence.
Based on initial interrogation, officers expanded the investigation and arrested a second suspect, A alias Bokir (30), at around 9:00 p.m. A search of his residence uncovered several empty plastic bags, a Pyrex glass, an electronic scale, and a mobile phone.

Further developments led police to a third suspect, P alias Iwan Kancil (37), believed to be the main supplier in the network. He was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. at his home.
From Iwan, officers seized six packages of methamphetamine weighing 12.8 grams gross. Additional evidence included drug paraphernalia, a Pyrex glass, empty plastic bags, a mobile phone, and Rp1,000,000 in cash, suspected to be proceeds from drug transactions.During questioning, Iwan reportedly admitted that all confiscated evidence from the three arrests belonged to him.

Head of Public Relations for the Labuhanbatu Selatan Police, AKP Sujono, emphasized the importance of community involvement in combating crime.
"This case proves that cooperation between citizens and law enforcement is highly effective. We appreciate the courage of residents who reported these activities," he said.He urged the public to continue reporting suspicious activities, particularly those related to drug trafficking, through the 24-hour emergency hotline 110.
