JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM - The Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Jambi City Police (Satresnarkoba Polresta Jambi) carried out raids at several night entertainment venues in Jambi City on Friday night, July 24, 2026, as part of Operation Antik 2026. The operation was aimed at preventing and combating drug abuse and the illegal distribution of narcotics within the jurisdiction of Polresta Jambi.
The raid began at 11:00 p.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB) and was directly led by Jambi Police Chief Kombes Pol. Ananto Herlambang, together with the Head of Operations Division of Polresta Jambi, Kompol Yumika Putra, and the Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit, AKP Tito Al Hafezt.The police team inspected five night entertainment venues located at different points across Jambi City. The locations inspected included Grand House on Jalan Kapten Pattimura, Karaoke Adinda and Karaoke Bunda on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Luna on Jalan Prof. DR. Moh. Yamin, and Dinasti at Lorong Idola.
Jambi Police Chief Kombes Pol. Ananto Herlambang, through the Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit AKP Tito Al Hafezt, stated that Operation Antik 2026 was a preventive measure carried out by police officers to reduce the risk of drug abuse, particularly in night entertainment venues.
"Through Operation Antik 2026, we are conducting inspections at several night entertainment venues. This is a preventive step to prevent drug abuse and maintain public security and order," Tito said.During the operation, officers first inspected three entertainment venues, namely Grand House, Karaoke Adinda, and Karaoke Bunda. When the police arrived at those locations, there were no visitors present, meaning urine tests could not be conducted.
The Satresnarkoba Polresta Jambi team then continued the inspection at Luna entertainment venue. At that location, officers conducted random urine tests on 14 visitors.The results of the urine examinations showed that all tested visitors were negative for traces of narcotic substances.
The examination results at the location also showed that all samples tested negative for narcotics. Therefore, a total of 16 visitors at two entertainment venues underwent inspections, with no indications of drug use discovered.
"A total of 16 people at two locations were randomly tested through urine examinations. All results were negative," Tito explained.AKP Tito Al Hafezt emphasized that the raid was not solely focused on law enforcement measures but also served as a preventive effort to encourage the public, particularly visitors to night entertainment venues, to avoid narcotics abuse.
According to him, the preventive approach of Operation Antik 2026 reflects Polresta Jambi's commitment to creating a safe environment and maintaining public order throughout Jambi City.
In addition to monitoring potential drug-related violations, the raid also represented the presence of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in providing a sense of security for the community in Jambi City.
Tito stated that police officers would continue carrying out various measures to maintain public safety and order while strengthening public trust in the Polri institution."The presence of the Polri among the community is intended to increase public confidence in the police. We will continue to be present to serve, protect, and accompany the community, while working together to maintain a safe and stable security situation," he said.
Through the implementation of Operation Antik 2026, Polresta Jambi hopes that the community will actively participate in preventing the spread of narcotics.
