DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM – The Regent of Deli Serdang, Asri Ludin Tambunan, served as the ceremony leader during the commemoration of the 2026 Birth of Pancasila Day held on Monday (June 1, 2026). The event took place at the Deli Serdang Regency Hall Square in Lubuk Pakam and drew wide participation from government officials and the public.
The event was organized by the Deli Serdang Regency Government and attended by various elements of society, including Deputy Regent Lom Lom Suwondo SS, TP PKK Chairperson Jelita Asri Ludin Tambunan, Deli Serdang Police Chief Kombes Pol Hendria Lesmana SIK MSi, members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), Regional Secretary Dedi Maswardy, civil servants (ASN), the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), students, youth organizations, scouts, and representatives of civil society.The strong turnout reflected a shared commitment to upholding Indonesia's state ideology through unity and collaboration.
In his address, Asri Ludin Tambunan read the official speech delivered by the Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), Yudian Wahyudi.
Yudian emphasized that the Birth of Pancasila Day serves as an important moment to reinforce national commitment to the foundational values of the state, which function as a unifying force for Indonesia's diverse society.Carrying the theme "Pancasila as the Unifier of the Nation, the Foundation of World Peace," the ideology is highlighted not only as a domestic unifying principle but also as a contribution to global harmony.
Yudian also highlighted global challenges such as technological disruption and geopolitical dynamics, stressing that Pancasila remains a vital compass in maintaining national unity in a diverse country.
He further underlined that Indonesia's diversity in ethnicity, culture, religion, and language is a national strength, bound together by Pancasila values.On the same occasion, the Regent of Deli Serdang handed over retirement decrees (SK) and Korpri social benefit packages to civil servants.
