BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM – The Government of Aceh has called on BPJS Kesehatan to immediately restore access to the Jaminan Kesehatan Aceh (JKA) program, following the temporary suspension of participant access after the issuance of Governor Regulation No. 2/2026.
The request was formally conveyed by Governor Muzakir Manaf, also known as "Mualem," in an official letter addressed to the Deputy Director of BPJS Kesehatan Regional Office I in Medan.Government Pushes Immediate Restoration of JKA Access

He emphasized that uninterrupted access to healthcare services remains a top priority for the provincial government.

According to Nurlis, Governor Muzakir Manaf's letter numbered 400.7.3.6/5806 dated May 19, 2026, explicitly requests the reactivation of all previously deactivated JKA memberships.The policy change follows the revocation of Governor Regulation No. 2/2026, which had previously triggered the suspension of access for participants.

He added that there is no longer any administrative reason for continued suspension of JKA access, and the directive also provides assurance for hospitals linked to the program.
Ensuring Healthcare Stability During Policy TransitionNurlis further noted that the instruction is intended to prevent any disruption in healthcare delivery during the transitional period while a new replacement regulation is being drafted.
