INAUGURATION OF NEW ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPERVISORY OFFICIALS: Aceh Provincial Secretary M. Nasir, representing the Governor of Aceh, leads the inauguration ceremony at the Governor’s official residence, Meuligoe, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, to strengthen bureaucratic structure and government performance.

BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Aceh Provincial Government has officially appointed a number of new administrative and supervisory officials in a move aimed at accelerating bureaucratic performance and improving budget realization across the province.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Aceh Provincial Secretary M. Nasir, representing the Governor of Aceh, and took place at the Governor's official residence, Meuligoe, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

Senior officials, including assistant secretaries, expert advisors to the governor, heads of Aceh regional work units (SKPA), bureau chiefs, and other Echelon II officials attended the formal event.

Strengthening Bureaucracy and Public Responsibility

Following the inauguration, Secretary M. Nasir read the Governor's official remarks, emphasizing that every position carries a significant responsibility that must be executed with integrity, discipline, and strong dedication to public service.

"This appointment is part of our efforts to strengthen bureaucratic capacity so that it becomes more responsive, professional, and capable of meeting public needs quickly and accurately," the Governor stated in the written speech.

The government underlined that improved administrative performance is essential to ensuring effective public service delivery across Aceh.

Accelerating Performance and Budget Realization

Government spokesperson T. Kamaruzzaman, also known as Ampon Man, said the appointments are a strategic step to accelerate administrative performance across various sectors.

He urged newly appointed officials to quickly adapt to their responsibilities and begin working effectively in their respective roles without delay.

According to the provincial government, budget realization had reached 26.09 percent as of May 11, 2026, while physical project implementation stood at 29.09 percent. The targets for the end of May 2026 are 29.23 percent for financial realization and 32.23 percent for physical progress.

The Aceh government is also accelerating budget utilization, including additional transfer funds (TKD) allocated for post-disaster recovery, ensuring that spending is directed effectively to benefit the public.

In addition, the preparation of the Aceh Government Work Plan (RKPA) is being prioritized and is expected to be finalized no later than June 30, 2026. The plan is designed to strengthen key public programs, including the Aceh Health Insurance scheme (Jaminan Kesehatan Aceh / JKA), through more disciplined and needs-based planning. (IDNC)
