JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM – The Jambi Regional Police (Polda Jambi), together with the Tanjung Jabung Barat Police (Polres Tanjab Barat), planted 2,000 mangrove seedlings and released 2,000 fish fry at Pantai Kelapa Mangrove, Parit 9, Tungkal I Village, Tungkal Ilir District, on Thursday (May 28, 2026), starting at 08:00 WIB. The initiative is part of preparations for the 80th Bhayangkara Day celebration in 2026.
The program focuses on coastal protection by combining mangrove reforestation and marine ecosystem restoration. It aims to strengthen long-term environmental stability in Jambi's coastal areas.

"Ahead of the 80th Bhayangkara anniversary, Polda Jambi is committed not only to public safety but also to safeguarding the environment, particularly coastal and marine ecosystems. This initiative is expected to bring long-term benefits to the community and maintain ecological balance," said Erlan Munaji.

The collaborative effort involved active participation from all stakeholders in planting mangroves and releasing fish fry. Authorities stated that similar environmental programs will continue in the future.
