DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Deli Serdang Regency Government has officially launched the training program for the 2026 candidates of the Pasukan Pengibar Bendera (Paskibra) by holding an opening ceremony for the centralized training and education camp at Cadika Park, Deli Serdang, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
The opening ceremony marked the beginning of preparations for the selected youths who will be entrusted with raising Indonesia's Red and White national flag during the celebration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.Acting Head of the Deli Serdang Regency National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol), Anwar Sadat Siregar, personally led the opening ceremony. At the start of the program, the regency government emphasized the significant responsibility that every participant will carry throughout the training period and during the official flag-raising ceremony.
According to Anwar Sadat Siregar, becoming a Paskibra member requires much more than mastering marching drills. Every participant is expected to demonstrate excellent physical and mental fitness, strong discipline, a high sense of responsibility, and outstanding leadership qualities to successfully carry out this important national duty."This process is designed to assess the participants' readiness and commitment throughout the training. During the program, they are expected to demonstrate discipline, independence, and the ability to carry out every assigned responsibility with dedication," Anwar Sadat said.
He added that the opening exercise serves as an important initial stage in preparing participants for the centralized training camp while allowing organizers to evaluate the discipline, attitude, and commitment of the future Paskibra members.
Throughout the centralized education and training program, the Paskibra candidates will undergo a series of structured activities, including physical fitness training, specialized Paskibra drills, mental development sessions, and leadership and character-building programs.
The comprehensive curriculum has been designed not only to prepare participants technically for their role as members of the Pasukan Pengibar Bendera, but also to develop them into resilient and principled young leaders.In addition to routine training sessions, participants will also learn to live independently throughout their stay at the training center. They will be responsible for managing their daily needs, maintaining cleanliness in their accommodations, complying with all regulations, and practicing discipline in their everyday activities.
Through this training approach, the regency government aims to develop responsible individuals who are capable of working effectively as a team and making sound decisions while carrying out national responsibilities.
The Deli Serdang Regency Government is also instilling the values of "Dharma Mulia Putra Indonesia" as the fundamental principles guiding the entire training process. These values are intended to shape Paskibra candidates into faithful, morally upright, disciplined, responsible, and dedicated young citizens committed to serving the nation and the state.
By embracing these principles, participants are expected to become not only ceremonial flag bearers but also role models within their schools, families, and communities.During this period, participants will complete an intensive training program under the supervision of experienced instructors and mentors. The curriculum has been carefully structured to strengthen physical endurance, mental resilience, technical competence, leadership capacity, and personal character in a gradual and comprehensive manner.
Through this structured and continuous training program, the Deli Serdang Regency Government hopes that every Paskibra candidate will perform the honorable duty of raising Indonesia's Red and White national flag during the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia with responsibility, honor, discipline, and pride as exemplary young representatives of the region.
