DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - Deli Serdang Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan officially inaugurated the construction of a new multi-storey classroom building at UPT SPF SD Negeri 101921 in Karang Anyar Village, Beringin Sub-district, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. The project is part of the Deli Serdang Regency Government's commitment to continuously expand educational infrastructure and improve the quality of learning services across the region.
The construction commencement was marked by a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony led by Asri Ludin Tambunan. The Deli Serdang Regency Government has set a target for the project to be completed within 120 calendar days, allowing the new classrooms to be utilized by students as soon as possible.The construction of the multi-storey classroom building is expected to increase the school's student capacity, add more available learning spaces, and create a more comfortable and representative educational environment. The regency government believes that the new infrastructure will strengthen the teaching and learning process and make an important contribution to the advancement of education in Deli Serdang.
Asri Ludin Tambunan emphasized that the construction of the new classrooms represents more than just the development of a physical building. According to him, the project is part of the government's efforts to provide better educational services for the community.
He expressed hope that all stages of construction would be carried out according to the planned schedule so the project could provide maximum benefits for both students and teachers."This construction project does not only provide additional classrooms, but also serves as an important step toward improving the quality of education. Therefore, the entire construction process must be jointly supervised to ensure that the work is completed properly and that students can use the new facilities as soon as possible," he said.
The Deli Serdang Regency Government continues to strengthen efforts to improve education quality through the development of modern and appropriate infrastructure. The expansion of classroom facilities is considered a strategic measure to address the increasing needs of schools amid the annual growth in student numbers.
On the occasion, Asri Ludin Tambunan urged the school management and all teachers to actively supervise students during the construction period. This step is necessary to ensure children's safety, as the construction activities are being carried out within the school area.
In addition to maintaining student safety, Asri Ludin Tambunan also requested the school to monitor the construction progress to ensure that all work complies with technical requirements, the established timeline, and the predetermined quality standards.He stated that close cooperation between the government, the school, and the construction contractor would be the key factor in ensuring the project is completed on schedule while producing a high-quality educational facility.
The Head of UPT SPF SD Negeri 101921 Karang Anyar, Leni Andriana, welcomed the delegation directly at the school premises. The visit also marked the official commencement of the new classroom construction project, which is expected to improve educational services, provide a more comfortable learning environment for students, and further strengthen the quality of teaching at SD Negeri 101921 Karang Anyar.
