LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM – The Easter worship service held within the government environment of Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency, alongside the inauguration of the leadership of the Regional Communion of Churches in Indonesia (PGI-D) for the 2026–2031 term, was conducted in a solemn and dignified atmosphere on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Under the theme "Christ Is Risen and Renews Our Humanity" (2 Corinthians 5:17), the event served not only as a spiritual celebration for the Christian community but also as a moment of moral reflection for government stakeholders, emphasizing a renewed commitment to public service.Government and Religious Leaders in Attendance

Throughout the liturgy, participants were invited to reflect on the meaning of Christ's resurrection as a call to leave behind the old life and embrace a new existence rooted in love, truth, and hope. The Easter litany, "Renewal of Life," further deepened the spiritual message of the celebration.
Message of Transformation Through ResurrectionThe sermon was delivered by Ahmad Sajli Pinem, who emphasized that Christ's resurrection represents a divine call for both inner and outer transformation.

PGI-D Inauguration and Government Support

Organizing Committee Chair Tommy Sandro Hutabarat expressed his appreciation for the smooth execution of the event. Meanwhile, PGI-D Labuhanbatu Selatan Chairperson Tombak Junjungan Silaen reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening cooperation among church denominations.
Regent Fery Sahputra Simatupang, in his remarks, underlined that Easter values are also highly relevant to governance."Easter teaches us victory over setbacks. This should be our shared motivation to continuously improve and deliver the best services for the people of Labuhanbatu Selatan," he stated.
