LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM - The Regional Deliberation (Musyawarah Daerah) of the Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI) in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency was held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Santun Berkata Bijak Berkarya (SBBK) Hall in Kotapinang. The assembly marked an important moment for youth consolidation, aimed at establishing a new strategic direction for youth organization development in the region.
The Regional Deliberation was not merely a routine leadership election, but also a platform to formulate the future direction of the youth movement in Labuhanbatu Selatan. It reaffirmed the KNPI's role as an "umbrella organization" that accommodates various youth groups across the region.The event was conducted in a formal and ceremonial atmosphere, attended by several prominent figures, including Fery Sahputra Simatupang, Irmayanti Siregar, Zulfikli Nasution, Angginatul Ladomi, M. Reza Pahlevi Nasution, and the Chairman of KNPI North Sumatra, Aldi Syahputra Siregar. Representatives from various youth organizations (OKP), community groups, local leaders, and invited guests also attended the gathering.

Prior to the main deliberation, a preparatory leadership meeting (Rapimurda) was held on the second floor of the SBBK building, chaired by the head of the organizing committee, Ilham Daulay, S.H.I. He expressed his gratitude for the support of all participating stakeholders.

Ilham emphasized that the Musyawarah Daerah represents both democratic maturity and a mechanism for regenerating youth leadership in the region.

Labuhanbatu Selatan Regent and also Chairman of DPD KNPI Labuhanbatu Selatan, Fery Sahputra Simatupang, stressed in his remarks that the assembly is not only about leadership transition, but also about evaluation and strategic direction.
"The Regional Deliberation is not only a leadership transition, but also a moment of evaluation, consolidation, and determination of the KNPI's future direction," he stated.He further emphasized the importance of maintaining unity throughout the democratic process, urging all parties to preserve KNPI as a shared home for youth organizations.

Call for Visionary Youth LeadershipThe Chairman of KNPI North Sumatra, Aldi Syahputra Siregar, underlined the importance of strong and qualified leadership regeneration. He expressed hope that the assembly would produce young leaders who are visionary, professional, and have strong integrity.
