DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM Allegations have emerged involving personnel of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja/Satpol PP) in Deli Serdang Regency after a media banner belonging to online outlet kanalupdate.com was reportedly damaged without any formal procedure or prior written warning. The incident is said to have occurred on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at around 5:30 p.m. local time along Jalan Batang Kuis, Telaga Sari Village, Tanjung Morawa District.

According to accounts from local sources, the banner was allegedly torn down by a Satpol PP unit without any prior notification or official notice requesting its removal. Eyewitnesses, including residents and neighbors of the kanalupdate.com editorial office, claimed they saw the banner being damaged on site without any explanation provided.

The situation was only reported to the editorial team after the banner was discovered in a heavily damaged condition.

The Editor-in-Chief of kanalupdate.com, Dapotraja Situmorang, strongly condemned the incident and demanded immediate accountability and restitution.
