DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - Deli Serdang Deputy Regent Lom Lom Suwondo SS on Friday, August 28, 2026, laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Ar-Rahman Mosque in Kalitawang, Naga Timbul Village, Tanjung Morawa District. The house of worship is being built through a collaboration involving the DPP Aliansi Masyarakat Peduli Keadilan (AMPK), PT Perusahaan Perkebunan London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk (Lonsum), local residents and the Deli Serdang Regency Government.
The foundation-laying ceremony officially marked the beginning of construction of the mosque, an initiative that residents had pursued for the past four years. The future Ar-Rahman Mosque is expected not only to meet the community's need for a place of worship, but also to provide a space for strengthening religious life, fostering social cohesion and developing social values in the surrounding community.Lom Lom emphasized the importance of the construction of the Ar-Rahman Mosque to the community.
