The event was held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Alun-Alun in Tanjung Morawa District and attracted a large number of residents.
The festival featured a community walk, a bicycle parade with elaborately decorated bicycles, and a becak parade, drawing participants from various segments of society. In addition to providing entertainment for residents, the event served as an opportunity for the community to come together and strengthened direct interaction between the local government and residents.Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan personally flagged off the community walk and the parades. The large turnout created a particularly lively atmosphere throughout the Buntu Bedimbar village festival.
After the participants set off, Asri Ludin Tambunan, accompanied by Jelita Asri Ludin Tambunan and several heads of regional agencies within the Deli Serdang Regency Government, visited the booths of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which were also part of the event.Asri Ludin Tambunan urged MSME entrepreneurs not to focus solely on product quality, but also to pay attention to packaging and hygiene. He also encouraged them to adopt digital technology as part of modern marketing strategies.
"We must continue supporting MSMEs so they can grow. Product quality must be improved, packaging optimized, and digital marketing utilized. In this way, our MSME products can become known not only in nearby areas but also reach larger markets," he said.The call reflects the current demands facing businesses as they seek to expand their markets amid the growing importance of digital commerce. The regional government hopes that improved product quality and targeted marketing strategies will provide MSMEs in Deli Serdang with greater opportunities to reach consumers beyond the region.
In addition to visiting the MSME booths, the regent continued his program by inspecting the home of a recipient of assistance under the Uninhabitable or Inadequate Housing (RTLH) program on Jalan Nusa Bangsa, Dusun VIII, Bangun Rejo Village, Tanjung Morawa District.During the visit, Asri Ludin Tambunan directly inspected the condition of the house included in the RTLH program. The inspection was part of the regional government's efforts to ensure that housing renovation assistance reaches residents who meet the established requirements.
"Recipients of RTLH assistance include people recorded in deciles 1 and 2. Therefore, we must ensure that this program is implemented in a truly targeted manner so that government assistance benefits the people who genuinely need it," he stressed.
Asri Ludin Tambunan also called on the relevant authorities to continuously verify and update population data. In his view, data quality is an important factor in the success of various government programs, including social assistance and initiatives aimed at improving public welfare.The regional government must ensure that beneficiary data continues to reflect the actual situation on the ground. Regular updates can reduce errors in determining beneficiaries while increasing the effectiveness of government programs.
The inspection of the home of an RTLH beneficiary also underscored the regional government's attention to the community's housing conditions. The program is intended to help residents who meet the established criteria gain access to more adequate housing and, in turn, improve the quality of life of affected families.
As part of the event, the Deli Serdang regent also handed over a wheelchair to a person with a disability. In addition, the regional government provided food packages for residents.
Asri Ludin Tambunan expressed hope that the assistance would help recipients manage their daily lives. He also reaffirmed that the government would continue to take into account the needs of people who require support."I hope this assistance is useful and helps with daily activities. The government will continue striving to provide attention and support to people who need it," the regent said.
The distribution of assistance complemented the series of activities held as part of the Gebyar Akbar Desa Buntu Bedimbar. The festival was therefore not only an opportunity for residents to relax and enjoy themselves, but also provided the regional government with an opportunity to observe residents' circumstances firsthand and distribute assistance to people in need.The event was also attended by assistants within the Deli Serdang Regency Government, heads of regional agencies, the Tanjung Morawa district head, village heads from across Tanjung Morawa District, and other invited guests.
