POLICE INVESTIGATE REPORTED SITE: Kapolsek Kota Pinang and his team, together with village representatives, conduct an inspection in Dusun Kalang Sari, Desa Sisumut, Kecamatan Kota Pinang, Labuhanbatu Selatan, following drug-related allegations.

LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COMThe Kota Pinang Police have officially refuted allegations of alleged drug activity in Dusun Kalang Sari, Desa Sisumut, Kecamatan Kota Pinang, following viral reports circulating on social media. A field inspection conducted on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, found no evidence of ongoing drug-related activity in the area.

Kapolsek Kota Pinang, AKP Maruli Tua Siregar, immediately ordered a verification of the reported location after the issue gained public attention online. The investigation was led by Panit I Opsnal of the Criminal Investigation Unit, Ipda Mariduk Lumbantobing, alongside police personnel, the acting village head Siti Handayani Siregar, and local community representatives.

The joint team inspected several points mentioned in the online posts and conducted a thorough sweep of the surrounding area to ensure accuracy of the claims.

Old Items Found, No Active Activity Detected

During the search, officers only discovered a few old items, including used drug paraphernalia such as bong equipment and outdated packaging materials. Authorities clarified that these items were remnants from the past and showed no signs of recent use.

The Kota Pinang Police urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information on social media. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity directly through the national emergency hotline 110 for immediate response.

Head of Dusun Kalang Sari, Bustami Harahap, welcomed the police action, stating that the presence of authorities helped clarify concerns among residents.

Meanwhile, Rahmat Aruan, Chairperson of the National Anti-Narcotics Organization (GRANAT) in South Labuhanbatu, praised the police for their swift response and confirmed that no evidence of drug-related activity was found in the area.

The police further emphasized their commitment to strengthening collaboration with village officials and the community to enhance drug prevention and public awareness efforts. (IDNC)
