ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Aceh Tengah Police conducted a crowd control (Dalmas) training exercise on Thursday morning, April 30, 2026, at the field in front of the guard post at the police headquarters. The exercise aimed to enhance officers' skills and operational readiness in handling potential public security disturbances in the field.
The training session, which began at approximately 09:00 a.m. local time, involved personnel from the Aceh Tengah Police as well as officers from various sector police stations (Polsek). The exercise was led by AKP Hendra Gunawan Tanjung, Head of Operations (Kabag Ops), alongside Iotu Misbah, Head of the Samapta Unit.Aiptu Sulaiman Efendi served as the Dalmas coordinator for the first unit, while Brigadier Khairu Hidayat acted as the instructor overseeing the training activities.

Officers practiced basic stances, alert positions, and marching drills on the spot to strengthen discipline and physical readiness. They were also trained in the proper use of the Dalmas baton in accordance with operational standards.

Formation Drills and Tactical Coordination Enhanced

Tactical maneuvers such as forward pressure and coordinated advances were also practiced to improve unit cohesion and response effectiveness in the field.
Shield-handling techniques were also intensively trained. These defensive measures are designed to protect officers from thrown objects and external pressure during crowd management operations.

Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhamad Taufiq personally observed the entire training session and emphasized the importance of continuous training for operational personnel.
"Through regular training, all personnel are expected to master crowd control techniques so they can act professionally, humanely, and in accordance with established procedures," he stated.He further underlined that such exercises are a key component of sustainable police training aimed at strengthening institutional professionalism.
