ASSAULT REPORT RESPONSE: Sekupang Police and Barelang Police swiftly responded to a reported incident at the Marina City café complex area in Batam on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

BATAM | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Barelang Police, through the Sekupang Police Station, swiftly responded to a citizen report of an alleged assault received via the emergency 110 hotline. A local resident named Firman reported the incident occurring at the mess complex area of Café Marina City, Tanjung Riau, Sekupang District, Batam.

Officers immediately deployed to the scene to verify the situation and carry out an initial humanitarian response.

The incident reportedly took place early Thursday morning at around 04:00 WIB in the park area of the Marina City café complex. Following the emergency call received at 05:55 WIB, the Batara Biru unit coordinated through the SPK of Polresta Barelang and promptly dispatched personnel from Sekupang Police Station to the location.

Police emphasized the importance of rapid response through the 110 emergency service as part of their public safety duties.
