POLICE RESPONSE IN BATAM: Officers from Polsek Lubuk Baja quickly respond to an emergency call involving a resident locked inside a home at Perumahan Baloi Kusuma, Batam, Monday evening, April 20, 2026.

BATAM | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Lubuk Baja Police Sector (Polsek Lubuk Baja) acted swiftly after receiving an emergency report through the 110 hotline, successfully assisting a resident who was accidentally locked inside a house in Batam.

Immediate Action Following 110 Emergency Call

Officers from Polsek Lubuk Baja responded promptly to a public report submitted via Indonesia's 110 emergency number. The incident took place at Perumahan Baloi Kusuma Housing Complex, Block A No. 25, Selicin area, Lubuk Baja District.

The operation was led by Lubuk Baja Police Chief, Kompol Deni Langie. On-site handling was carried out by officer Aipda Afriadi, who was deployed to assess and resolve the situation.

Upon arrival at approximately 11:40 p.m. local time (WIB), officers met the complainant, Syafrianshah bin Shahrom, who reported being unable to enter his home as the door was locked from the inside.

Initial checks confirmed that the residence was indeed secured from within, preventing any immediate access. The lack of response from inside briefly raised concerns regarding the condition of the occupants.

Safe Resolution Without Incident

Shortly afterward, a household assistant inside the residence arrived and opened the door, allowing the homeowner to safely re-enter the house. The resident explained that he had returned from a sports activity in the Palm Spring area and found the house already locked.

The situation was resolved without injuries or property damage, and authorities confirmed that no criminal indications were found.

The police also took the opportunity to advise the resident to exercise caution, particularly regarding late-night returns. Security conditions in the surrounding area were also assessed and confirmed to be safe.
