DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Deli Serdang Regency Government is strengthening the implementation of its administrative responsibilities and the quality of public services through the appointment of three supervisory officials. Deli Serdang Regency Secretary Dedi Maswardy administered the oath of office and formally appointed the three officials to positions within the regency government on Friday, 30 October 2026.
The appointment ceremony took place in the auditorium of the Deli Serdang Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) in Lubuk Pakam. On the occasion, Dedi emphasised the importance of responsibility, integrity and professionalism for every civil servant entrusted with public office. The three appointed officials are Armada Bakti Sinaga, who will serve as Head of the Social Welfare Section at the Deli Tua Barat Village Head's Office; Syarifudin Maksum, who will serve as Head of the Administrative Subsection of Regional Maintenance Unit I for Roads, Bridges and Water Resources at the Water Resources, Roads and Construction Agency; and Wahyu Kristian Hutodo Napitupulu, who will serve as Head of the Social Welfare Section at the Galang District Head's Office.
The appointments form part of the regency government's efforts to ensure that every work unit fulfils its duties and responsibilities to the best of its ability. Supervisory officials occupy a strategically important position, as their roles are directly linked to the daily execution of duties, the monitoring of discipline and the achievement of organisational objectives.According to Dedi, supervisory officials must ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with applicable regulations and established objectives. They should also provide clear instructions to employees and take an active role whenever a work unit encounters difficulties.
"I therefore expect you not merely to carry out your duties routinely, but also to build good cooperation, promote discipline and create a productive working atmosphere. Be leaders who provide clear direction, lead by example and offer solutions whenever difficulties arise in carrying out your responsibilities," he said. The message highlights that the success of a government organisation depends not only on decisions made by its leadership, but also on how effectively supervisory officials translate those directives into daily practice. Effective coordination, discipline and exemplary conduct are essential to delivering high-quality performance.
Dedi also expects the officials to establish effective communication with both their superiors and their staff. This approach should enable workplace problems to be resolved appropriately without undermining the achievement of organisational objectives.
Dedi reminded the officials that holding office entails an obligation for which each individual must be accountable. All civil servants are therefore required to uphold their integrity, avoid abusing their authority and perform their duties in accordance with applicable regulations.
He emphasised that supervisory officials must translate the leadership's policy and administrative directives into concrete, measurable and results-oriented actions. The execution of duties must not be limited to administrative routines, but must make a genuine contribution to the organisation and the public. This reminder is particularly important because supervisory officials are responsible for ensuring that the regency government's policies are implemented at the operational level. They must ensure that duties are consistently fulfilled while also making certain that employees understand their respective responsibilities.
Dedi hopes the newly appointed officials will make integrity the foundation of their decisions and the exercise of their authority. Professionalism must also be reflected in discipline, reliable performance and a willingness to take responsibility for the outcomes of their work."I hope you will be able to translate the leadership's policy directives into concrete, measurable and results-oriented actions," he said.

The adjustment period is an important step in helping officials understand the specific characteristics of their respective work units, recognise organisational needs and identify issues requiring particular attention. On this basis, they are expected to develop appropriate working measures that reflect their responsibilities in each position.
Dedi also underlined the importance of supervisory officials being able to connect leadership directives with the practical demands of work on the ground. This responsibility requires effective communication, consistent monitoring and efficient problem-solving.In the delivery of public services, supervisory officials must ensure that all work is carried out properly and benefits the public. Employee discipline, coordination between work units and clear responsibilities are essential factors in maintaining the quality of services provided by the regency government.
The appointment of the three supervisory officials also underlines the Deli Serdang Regency Government's expectation that administrative staff will carry out their duties professionally and responsibly. The government expects the officials to begin their work immediately, strengthen coordination and deliver tangible results through their respective work units.Through integrity-driven and results-oriented leadership, the supervisory officials are expected to strengthen the performance of the government organisation while improving the quality of public services.
