LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM - The Labuhanbatu Selatan Police (Polres Labuhanbatu Selatan) is strengthening the operational readiness of its Crowd Control Unit (Dalmas) to anticipate potential disturbances to public safety and order. The readiness inspection took place on Friday, 30 October 2026, at the Labuhanbatu Selatan Police Headquarters. During the assembly, officers checked the personnel strength and operational preparedness of the Dalmas Unit. The exercise aimed to ensure that every officer understood their respective responsibilities and could respond promptly to situations requiring police intervention.Deputy Chief of Labuhanbatu Selatan Police, Commissioner Moch. The event was also attended by Dalmas personnel and several relevant senior officers.
The assembly was not merely intended to check personnel numbers but also provided an opportunity to assess the officers' operational readiness, discipline, coordination and overall capabilities. The deputy police chief also highlighted three specific potential threats requiring particular attention within the jurisdiction of the Labuhanbatu Selatan Police. An understanding of individual responsibilities, unity within the unit, discipline and each officer's ability to act in accordance with instructions and applicable regulations were equally important."We want to ensure that all members of the Dalmas Unit are ready for deployment at any time, both in terms of personnel strength and their actual ability to carry out their duties.
Every officer must understand their responsibilities, maintain unity and be capable of responding quickly and professionally to any developments in the situation," AKBP Rosef Efendi stressed.The police chief explained that maintaining personnel readiness was part of the institutional obligations of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to provide protection, guidance and services to the public. For this reason, all police personnel must preserve their unity, fitness and discipline to ensure they can perform their duties to the highest possible standard.
