ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Satsamapta Unit of the Aceh Tengah Police has enhanced its operational readiness through intensive riot control (Dalmas) training conducted at basic and advanced levels. The exercise took place on Thursday morning (April 16, 2026) in front of the guard post at the Aceh Tengah Police Headquarters (Mako Polres Aceh Tengah).
Training Begins Under Unit LeadershipThe training session commenced at around 09:00 local time and was directly led by the Head of the Satsamapta Unit, Iptu Misbah. He was assisted by Aiptu Sulaiman, the Dalmas Unit Chief (Kanit Dalmas 1), and Brigadir Khairu Hidayat as instructors.

From Basic Techniques to Tactical Formations
Read Also:The training covered both fundamental and advanced Dalmas techniques, including basic stance positions, alert postures, stationary marching drills, and the use of riot control batons.
Officers also practiced key formations such as the line formation (bersaf) and the half-spear formation (paruh lembing). Tactical movements, including forward pressure (desak maju) and controlled advancement (dorong maju), were also drilled. In addition, shield defense techniques were trained to protect against thrown objects and crowd pressure.

Beyond technical skills, the exercise focused on strengthening physical endurance and mental resilience, both essential for managing potential escalation during public demonstrations. Instructors also highlighted the proper and tactical use of shields and batons to ensure officer safety while maintaining professional standards.
The training was directly supervised by Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhamad Taufiq, underscoring its importance in ongoing personnel development. He emphasized that continuous training is essential to ensure officers are capable of carrying out crowd control duties professionally, humanely, and in accordance with established procedures.
