BATAM | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Polresta Barelang has intensified its preventive outreach efforts through community education programs targeting students and online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers. The initiative aims to maintain public order and security across Batam, Riau Islands. The activities were conducted on Monday, April 13, 2026, at SMP Negeri 30 Batam, SMA Negeri 08 Batam, and within a local ojol community.
Youth Crime Awareness at SMP Negeri 30 BatamKasat Binmas of Polresta Barelang, AKP Betty Novia, led a direct outreach session at SMP Negeri 30 Batam together with the Satbinmas team and Bhabinkamtibmas officers. Students were briefed on discipline, school conduct, and safe behavior in daily life.

The outreach continued at SMA Negeri 08 Batam, where students received education on the legal and social consequences of juvenile delinquency.
Police officers stressed that students represent the nation's future generation and must uphold ethics, respect, and responsibility both in school and in society.Bullying was also strongly addressed, with officers warning about its serious psychological impact. Students were encouraged to report incidents and actively support a safe learning environment.

In a separate session, Polresta Barelang also engaged with the online motorcycle taxi community in Batam. The briefing was led by Iptu L. Agus Salim Marpaung alongside other officers.
