BATAM | INDATANEWS.COM ~ On Thursday, March 26, 2026, the Riau Islands Regional Police oversaw the arrival of 142 participants of the free Lebaran homecoming program at Bintang 99 Persada Port in Batu Ampar, Batam.

The homecomers were received in an orderly and smooth manner, part of a public service initiative for citizens returning home after the Idulfitri 1447 Hijriyah celebrations.

Interagency Collaboration Ensures Safe Return

The event highlighted strong collaboration among multiple authorities to guarantee safety and a smooth flow of homecoming traffic during Lebaran. Polda Kepri worked closely with Polresta Barelang and other relevant agencies to provide integrated services, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for the returning citizens.

Officials present included M. Takwin Masuku, Head of KSOP Khusus Batam; KBP Taswin, Karo Ops Riau Islands Regional Police; Kombes Pol. Dr. Nona Pricillia Ohei, Head of Public Relations Riau Islands Regional Police; Rikka Inri Dalosa, Head of Jasa Raharja Riau Islands; Junaidi, Head of Transportation Office Riau Islands; and Dini Kusumahati Damarintan, Head of BPTD Kepri, along with representatives from BP Batam Port.

Police officers attending included AKBP Budi Rayadi, KBO Ditpolairud Polda Kepri; AKP Satri Putra, Kasat Samapta Polresta Barelang; AKP Zharfan Edmond, Kapolsek Kawasan Pelabuhan; and Iptu Zia Ul Hak, Kanit Patroli Satpolairud.

Welcoming the Ships and Homecomers

Riau Islands Regional Police began the activities with a reception roll call to demonstrate readiness. Following this, the homecomers aboard KN Sarotama P-112, carrying 142 participants of the free Lebaran homecoming program, were welcomed warmly. The presence of police officers underlines Polda Kepri's commitment to supporting government programs while ensuring a safe, orderly, and peaceful homecoming process.

Port Area Security

The police chief of the port area, along with his team, enhanced security measures at this key transport hub. Officers monitored passenger flow to prevent potential risks. The entire reception operation concluded at around 8:00 PM local time without any incidents. The aim was to provide optimal service to citizens while strengthening public trust in Polda Kepri for managing Lebaran homecoming traffic. (IDNC)
