ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Aceh Tengah Police (Polres Aceh Tengah) received a supervision team from the Community Development Division (Ditbinmas) of the Aceh Regional Police (Polda Aceh). The activity was carried out to strengthen the implementation of duties by Binmas personnel, ensuring that community policing services are delivered more professionally, humanely, and in accordance with the Commander Wish directives of the Aceh Police Chief.
The supervision activity was held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB) at the Aceh Tengah Police Hall. The Deputy Chief of Aceh Tengah Police, Kompol Samsir, S.H., officially opened the event on behalf of the Aceh Tengah Police Chief, AKBP Muhamad Taufiq, S.I.K., M.H.In his address, Kompol Samsir expressed his appreciation and welcomed the Ditbinmas Polda Aceh supervision team. The team visited Aceh Tengah to monitor, evaluate, and provide recommendations regarding the implementation of Binmas duties within the jurisdiction of the Aceh Tengah Police.
According to Kompol Samsir, the supervision serves as an important opportunity for Binmas personnel to improve their capabilities and enhance the quality of public services. Through this activity, police officers receive guidance, direction, and evaluations that serve as a foundation for carrying out community development tasks effectively.
The Ditbinmas Polda Aceh supervision team, led by the Head of the Operational Division of Ditbinmas Polda Aceh, Kompol Edwin Aldro, S.H., M.H., delivered several directives based on the policies of the Aceh Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Ruddi Setiawan, S.I.K., S.H., M.M. The discussion focused on implementing the Commander Wish directives within the scope of Binmas duties.
Kompol Edwin explained that Binmas personnel play a strategic role in building a strong relationship between the police and the community. Therefore, every police officer must demonstrate a professional and humane attitude while representing the police institution as a protector and guardian of public safety.He outlined four main points that should serve as guidelines for all Binmas personnel. First, every officer must develop a religious character based on faith and devotion to God. These values serve as the foundation for carrying out duties with sincerity, integrity, and responsibility.
Second, police officers must uphold tolerance and diversity within society, which consists of various ethnic groups, religions, cultures, and social backgrounds. The police are expected to become role models in maintaining unity and strengthening social harmony.Third, the Binmas function must continue to be strengthened through sustainable Community Policing (Pemolisian Masyarakat/Polmas) programs. This approach should prioritize justice-oriented principles so that police presence can provide real solutions and benefits for the community.
Fourth, Binmas personnel must improve their disaster preparedness efforts, particularly in preventing forest and land fires (Karhutla). These efforts should be carried out through public education, information dissemination, and community engagement to encourage collective responsibility in protecting the environment.Several programs receiving attention included Saweu Sikula, Saweu Kedai Kupi, strengthening the Neighborhood Security System (Siskamling), and establishing Community Security Posts (Pos Kamling) in villages.
These programs are part of the police strategy to establish direct communication with the community. Through these activities, Binmas officers can identify various social issues, understand community concerns, and work together to create a safe and orderly public environment (Kamtibmas).In addition to strengthening community development programs, the supervision team reminded all Binmas personnel to maintain administrative discipline, including the proper and compliant use of supporting applications for performance documentation.
This administrative aspect is essential to ensure accountability in carrying out duties and to guarantee that all community service activities are properly measured and documented.
At the conclusion of the supervision activity, Kompol Edwin Aldro encouraged all Binmas personnel at Aceh Tengah Police to continue carrying out their duties with dedication and regard every assignment as a form of responsibility toward the community, the state, and the nation.
"Every service assignment is an opportunity for good deeds and worship, so it can provide real benefits for society and further strengthen public trust in the police," Kompol Edwin said in his remarks.He expressed hope that all Binmas personnel would continuously improve the quality of their services and strengthen the police presence among the community.
