ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - Personnel from the Sat Samapta Unit of the Aceh Tengah Police have intensified night patrols to maintain public safety and order at several locations where community activity remains high. The patrols on Thursday, September 10, 2026, focused on gas stations, commercial centers, banks, and other key areas of public activity in and around Takengon.
The police conducted the Patroli Perintis Presisi, or Precision Pioneer Patrol, as a preventive measure against potential criminal activity while also strengthening the visible presence of police officers among the community. Four Sat Samapta officers were deployed on official motorcycles to directly monitor security conditions at several designated checkpoints.The operation began at approximately 8 p.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB). The officers traveled through several areas that remain busy in the evening. These included SPBU Lemah and SPBU Jalan Lintang gas stations, Toko Grosir Mitra Jaya wholesale store, Bank Aceh Cabang Takengon, as well as shopping centers and other public gathering points across Takengon.
The patrols were not limited to monitoring conditions. Officers also engaged directly with gas station employees, business operators, security personnel, bank employees, and residents who were still carrying out their activities into the evening.
During these interactions, police urged residents and business operators to remain vigilant. Officers highlighted a number of potential security risks, including theft, fraud, illegal levies, disputes, and other forms of disruption to public safety and order.Head of the Sat Samapta Unit of the Aceh Tengah Police, IPTU Misbah, said the patrols were part of the police's preventive measures to maintain public safety and order, known in Indonesia as Kamtibmas, within the jurisdiction of the Aceh Tengah Police.
Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Teguh Siswoyo, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., through Sat Samapta Unit Head IPTU Misbah, said the patrols were also part of preventive measures aimed at maintaining a safe and stable Kamtibmas situation."We conduct the Patroli Perintis Presisi to strengthen the presence of police officers among the community while preventing potential security disturbances at an early stage," he said.
According to him, the presence of officers in the field is not merely intended to respond to security disturbances that have already occurred. It is also part of police prevention efforts to deter criminal activity before it happens. Regular patrols allow officers to directly observe actual conditions on the ground while strengthening communication with members of the community.The operation also serves as a form of public service, particularly for people who continue their activities into the evening. The presence of officers at strategically important locations allows residents and business operators to continue their activities with a greater sense of security.
In addition to gas stations, officers visited commercial areas, including Toko Grosir Mitra Jaya. Police monitored conditions around the business and spoke with operators and security personnel to ensure that commercial activities were conducted in an orderly and secure manner.
Banks were also among the locations receiving particular attention. Officers visited Bank Aceh Cabang Takengon and assessed security conditions in the surrounding area. Shopping centers and other locations where large numbers of people remain active in the evening were also monitored.Officers urged residents to remain vigilant when safeguarding valuables and paying attention to their surroundings. Business operators and security personnel were also encouraged to immediately notify police if they observed suspicious activities or indications of potential disturbances to public safety and order.
Direct communication with the community is an important component of the patrols. Through these interactions, officers can obtain information about local security conditions directly from people at the scene. At the same time, residents have an opportunity to provide information and report security concerns in their respective areas to police.
Based on the officers' observations in the field, all monitored locations were found to be safe and stable. Operations at gas stations, commercial activities, banking services, and community activities proceeded normally.
No significant disturbances to public safety and order were detected during the Patroli Perintis Presisi. This indicated that security conditions at several busy locations in Takengon remained under control during the evening.Despite the generally safe situation, police continue to urge residents to maintain a high level of vigilance. Such vigilance is considered important to prevent potential criminal activity and security disturbances that could occur at any time.
