DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - Residents of Dusun XVIII Persil in Percut Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, have welcomed with great joy the completion of the paving of Jalan Persil. The road has served as an important transportation route for local residents for decades. The paving work was completed on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

The infrastructure project has brought significant changes for residents. The road, which was previously damaged and muddy, particularly during the rainy season, can now be traveled much more comfortably after the Deli Serdang Regency Government completed the paving of Jalan Persil.

Residents expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Deli Serdang Regent H. dr. Asri Ludin Tambunan and Deputy Regent Lomlom Suwondo, S.S. Both officials were credited with responding to residents' concerns regarding the urgent need to improve infrastructure in Dusun XVIII Persil.

"Alhamdulillah, our road has finally been paved. We have been waiting for this for a long time. In the past, the road was muddy when it rained, and it was difficult for schoolchildren to pass through. Now it is smooth and easy to travel on. Thank you very much to the Regent and Deputy Regent. May you always be healthy and may Deli Serdang continue to develop," said one of the residents of Dusun XVIII Persil.

For the community, the paving of Jalan Persil represents more than simply an improvement in the physical condition of the road. The infrastructure is an important component in supporting a wide range of daily activities, from access to education and healthcare to social and economic activities.

Improved Access for Residents

The road conditions, which had previously been particularly difficult during rainy weather, have changed significantly following the completion of the paving work. Residents no longer have to deal with muddy roads during their daily activities, including taking their children to school or purchasing their daily necessities.

The road improvement also creates better conditions for greater community mobility. A better-developed transportation connection can make it easier for residents and vehicles to reach various facilities and residential areas in Percut Village.

Residents hope that the improved road quality will have a positive long-term impact on the lives of people in Dusun XVIII Persil. In addition to meeting basic needs, they believe that good road conditions can also help stimulate trade and economic activities among local residents.

Residents also hope that access to the culinary tourism area in the region will become easier in the future. With improved mobility, they expect visitor numbers from surrounding areas to increase. This could create new opportunities for the development of local businesses and the regional economy.

The implementation of the Jalan Persil paving project also drew the attention of Deli Serdang Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) member H. Rakhmatsyah, SH. He accompanied the concerns raised by residents of Percut Village and worked to ensure that the need for infrastructure improvements was conveyed to the Deli Serdang Regency Government.

His role was appreciated by residents and the Percut Village administration. Residents hope that communication and assistance in conveying community concerns among residents, the village administration, the DPRD, and the Deli Serdang Regency Government will continue. In this way, development needs at the village level can be addressed sustainably.

He expressed hope that attention to infrastructure development in Percut Village would continue. In his view, community needs are not limited to road construction, but also include various facilities that can improve public services and community welfare.

Collaboration for Sustainable Development

The completion of the Jalan Persil paving project is also an opportunity for the Percut Village administration to strengthen coordination with the Deli Serdang Regency Government. Such cooperation is important to ensure that development at the village level is implemented in accordance with the needs of the community.

Asyhari hopes that cooperation between the Deli Serdang Regency Government and the Percut Village administration will continue to be strengthened, particularly in addressing community concerns and improving public services.

"May the cooperation between the Deli Serdang Regency Government and the Percut Village administration continue, so that Percut becomes better and Deli Serdang becomes increasingly advanced, healthy, and prosperous," he said in closing.
