JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM - Jambi Police Chief Kombes Pol Ananto Herlambang, SIK, MM, led a ceremony on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the courtyard of the Polresta Jambi Police Headquarters to present awards to 47 police officers who had demonstrated outstanding performance in carrying out their police duties.
The ceremony was attended by department heads (Kabag), unit heads (Kasat), section heads (Kasi), personnel of Polresta Jambi, and the 47 award recipients. They were recognized for their successful performance in carrying out various police duties.The awards represented recognition from the leadership of Polresta Jambi for officers who had demonstrated dedication, loyalty, courage, and professionalism in carrying out their responsibilities, as well as achieved success in handling various cases that had attracted significant public attention and concern.
In his address, Kombes Pol Ananto Herlambang emphasized that the awards were not only intended to recognize the officers' success in solving criminal cases. They also represented appreciation from the leadership for the hard work of police personnel in carrying out their responsibilities as members of the Indonesian National Police (Polri).In another successful operation, Polresta Jambi officers also managed to seize 29 large packages of marijuana weighing approximately 29 kilograms in total. The case investigation was part of the police's efforts to combat illegal drug trafficking within the jurisdiction of Polresta Jambi.
"I would like to express my highest appreciation to all officers who successfully uncovered a drug crime case and seized 192 refill cartridges containing liquid suspected of containing narcotics, with a total volume of 465.8 ml, 22 ecstasy tablets, and 336.03 grams of shabu, as well as 29 large packages of marijuana weighing approximately 29 kilograms. This achievement is the result of the hard work of the Satnarkoba and Sus Team, as well as the commitment of Polresta Jambi to continue combating illegal drug trafficking," said Kombes Ananto.According to him, the successful investigation of the drug case demonstrated the commitment of police officers in carrying out their law enforcement duties. He also emphasized the importance of collective commitment to continuing to prevent and combat illegal drug trafficking, which can cause concern among members of the public.
Drug enforcement, Ananto said, requires cooperation, precision, and consistency in carrying out police duties. Therefore, the awards are expected to encourage the recognized officers to maintain their commitment while motivating other police personnel to continue improving their performance.
In addition to recognizing the successful investigation of drug crimes, the Jambi Police Chief also honored officers who successfully solved a serious assault case in which the victim died.
In the case, the victim died after the perpetrator poured a corrosive liquid over the victim.
