DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - Deli Serdang Regency Secretary Dedi Maswardy on Friday, September 25, 2026, swore in and officially inducted 15 school principals and 15 functional officials within the Deli Serdang Regency Government. The ceremony was held at the Cendana Hall on the first floor of the Deli Serdang Regent's Office.
The appointments are part of the Deli Serdang Regency Government's efforts to strengthen the quality of the civil service while improving public services, particularly in the education sector. The 30 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) officials entrusted with new responsibilities are expected to carry out their respective duties professionally, with integrity and accountability.In his address, Dedi Maswardy congratulated all the ASN officials who took part in the inauguration. He expressed hope that they would carry out their new responsibilities diligently and contribute to the continued development of education in Deli Serdang.
"On behalf of the Deli Serdang Regency Government, I congratulate all the women who were inaugurated today and wish them success. May they carry out the responsibilities entrusted to them as well as possible to advance education in Deli Serdang," the Regency Secretary said.These opportunities also come with new responsibilities. The ASN officials are expected to demonstrate their capabilities through measurable performance and public services that provide tangible benefits to the community. For school principals, the responsibility is particularly significant because they play a strategic role in managing and organizing their respective educational institutions.
School principals are not only responsible for school administration but must also be capable of managing all aspects of education to ensure that teaching and learning activities run smoothly. School leadership plays an important role in creating an educational environment that supports students' development.For this reason, Dedi urged the school principals to maintain the highest standards of integrity in carrying out their duties. At the same time, he encouraged them to develop innovations suited to the needs of their respective schools and create a safe and comfortable learning environment for students.
"Work properly and correctly. Bring innovations to the schools you lead, do not do anything that violates applicable regulations, and make the school a safe and comfortable place for students," he emphasized.
In addition to their leadership responsibilities within educational institutions, school principals are also expected to support various priority programs of the Deli Serdang Regency Government. These include improving educational infrastructure, renovating and upgrading school toilets, and informing the public that attending public schools is free of charge.
According to Dedi, improving education quality does not depend solely on classroom instruction. The school environment, availability of facilities, cleanliness, safety and quality of services are also important components of quality education.He urged the school principals to continuously pay attention to these various needs.
