BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Aceh Governor, Muzakir Manaf, attended the plenary session of the Aceh Regional Parliament (DPRA) at the parliamentary building on Monday, April 6, 2026. During the session, he presented the 2025 Accountability Report (LKPJ) and announced the formation of a special committee (Pansus) to further review the report.
Governor Muzakir explained that the LKPJ reflects the provincial government's responsibility in implementing governance and development programs throughout 2025. The report also serves as a shared evaluation tool between the executive and legislative branches to improve the quality of regional development.Positive Financial and Macroeconomic Developments
Read Also:According to the Governor, Aceh's 2025 progress resulted from the collective efforts of all stakeholders, including the Regional Parliament, regional leadership councils (Forkopimda), and active public participation.
In the area of regional finance, the provincial government recorded revenues exceeding IDR 10.69 trillion, reaching around 100.07% of the target. Expenditures totaled over IDR 10.61 trillion, approximately 95.07% of the planned budget.
Read Also:Several macroeconomic indicators also showed positive trends. The Human Development Index (HDI) rose from 75.36 in 2024 to 76.23 in 2025. Poverty rates decreased from 14.23% to 12.23%, although they remain vulnerable to natural disasters. Meanwhile, the open unemployment rate dropped slightly from 5.75% to 5.64%.
Strategic Programs Enhance Public Welfare
The Governor highlighted that the provincial government implemented strategic programs to improve residents' welfare. These included affordable housing construction, upgrades to road and bridge infrastructure, scholarships for tens of thousands of students, and health insurance funding for more than 1.7 million Acehnese.

In the economic sector, Aceh attracted investments exceeding IDR 9 trillion and experienced growing export activity, contributing to regional economic development.
