ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Aceh Tengah Police successfully secured the opening of the Open Grasstrack Championship UD SKR X AJM 2026 on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the UD SKR AJM permanent track in Kala Ketol Village, Ketol District, Aceh Tengah, Aceh, Indonesia.
The event kicked off around 4:00 PM, drawing hundreds of spectators. Numerous riders from various regions actively participated. Representatives from the organizing committee, Ikatan Motor Indonesia (IMI), officers from Polsek and Koramil Ketol, and the local health center's medical team contributed to the festive atmosphere.
Comprehensive Security Measures on the Track
Chief of Aceh Tengah Police, Muhamad Taufiq, stated through the head of Ketol Police Station, Hadi Rivai Darma Bakti, that law enforcement officers, together with the military and other relevant authorities, ensured safety throughout the event.
"Our forces secured both the racetrack and its surroundings to prevent any public order disturbances," said Hadi Rivai Darma Bakti.
Officers accompanied the event from start to finish, managing crowd flow and maintaining a disruption-free racing environment.
Promoting Sportsmanship, Talent, and Community Entertainment
Organizers aim to foster sportsmanship and strengthen solidarity among riders and automotive communities. The Grasstrack Championship also provides a platform to nurture local motorsport talents in Aceh Tengah.
Beyond thrilling races, the event offered positive entertainment for the local community, supporting the growth of motorsports in the region.
Prize Money Worth Millions
The championship featured 13 categories, including Pro, U-22, Beginner, and local divisions. Total prize money reached around 100 million Rupiah, with top prizes including motorcycles in selected classes.
The opening ceremony concluded at 6:00 PM in a safe and orderly atmosphere. The championship continues for two days, from Saturday, April 4, 2026, to Sunday, April 5, 2026. Aceh Tengah Police urged all participants and spectators to follow the rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable event. (IDNC)
