ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Aceh Tengah Police have deployed hundreds of personnel to secure the working visit of Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to Aceh Tengah Regency on Thursday, August 6, 2026. The security measures were carried out to ensure that all official activities involving the Vice President proceeded safely, orderly, and smoothly.
Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka visited Kampung Lumut, Linge District, Aceh Tengah Regency, to inspect the condition of infrastructure damaged by a disaster. The presence of Indonesia's second-highest state official reflects the central government's commitment and attention toward accelerating the recovery of public facilities in the affected area.
The Aceh Tengah Police implemented both open and covert security operations, deploying personnel at various strategic locations. The security arrangements covered the delegation's arrival route, activity locations, and traffic management throughout the Vice President's visit.
Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka arrived in Aceh Tengah Regency at approximately 1:35 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB). He arrived aboard three helicopters that landed at the helipad of SMP Negeri 30 Takengon. Upon arrival, the Vice President and his delegation immediately headed to the Lumut Bridge in Linge District, which serves as an important transportation link for local residents after the disaster.
In addition to inspecting the condition of the bridge, Vice President Gibran also visited SMP Negeri 30 Takengon. During the visit, he held a meeting with the school principal and greeted students before continuing his journey to Gayo Lues Regency.
Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhammad Taufiq, S.I.K., M.H., stated that his institution had carried out comprehensive preparations through close coordination with all relevant agencies to ensure maximum security during the Vice President's visit.
The security operation involved the Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres), the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), the TNI Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS TNI), the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), the Transportation Agency, and other related government institutions.
"We have ensured that all activities during the Vice President's working visit to Aceh Tengah run safely, orderly, and smoothly through integrated security coordination with all participating forces," said the Aceh Tengah Police Chief.

During the security operation, Aceh Tengah Police officers, together with other security forces, were deployed at several high-activity locations throughout the Vice President's visit.
The security measures began at the helicopter landing area, continued along the delegation's travel route, the infrastructure inspection sites, and the school area where the Vice President met with school officials and students.
The Aceh Tengah Police Chief ensured that all personnel carried out their duties in accordance with security procedures for Very Very Important Person (VVIP) guests. Institutional cooperation was considered a key factor in maintaining security and ensuring the smooth implementation of the Vice President's working visit in Aceh Tengah.
The visit was also attended by Aceh Police Chief Inspector General Ruddi Setiawan, Commander of Kodam Iskandar Muda Major General TNI Joko Hadi Susilo, Aceh Deputy Governor Fadlullah, Aceh Tengah Regent Haili Yoga, representatives of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and several regional government officials.
