JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM - The Jambi Regional Police (Polda Jambi) has intensified preparations for security measures ahead of the Presisi Merdeka Run (PMR) 2026 by conducting a strategic planning exercise and Tactical Floor Game (TFG) simulation. The activity was held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the Pendopo of the Jambi Provincial Governor's Office.
The activity was led by the Deputy Chief of Polda Jambi, Police Brigadier General B. Ali. Several senior officials attended the exercise, including the Jambi Police Inspector, the Head of the Operations Bureau of Polda Jambi, the Jambi City Police Chief, senior officers from Polda Jambi and Polresta Jambi, as well as the entire organizing committee of the Presisi Merdeka Run 2026.The implementation of the Tactical Floor Game is part of Polda Jambi's efforts to ensure that all security personnel are fully prepared before the public sports event begins.
Jambi Police Chief Police Inspector General Krisno H. Siregar, through the Head of Public Relations of Polda Jambi, Police Commissioner Erlan Munaji, explained that the Tactical Floor Game is a simulation designed to unify the understanding of all security personnel regarding security strategies, task distribution, coordination mechanisms, and measures to anticipate potential incidents during the event.
According to him, the simulation represents an important stage to ensure that all personnel involved understand the planned operational procedures. Through shared awareness and coordinated action, every security unit can carry out its responsibilities in a focused and effective manner."The Tactical Floor Game aims to unify the understanding of all personnel regarding the strategy, security concept, task allocation, and coordination mechanisms in the field. With thorough preparation, we hope that all stages of the Presisi Merdeka Run 2026 can be carried out safely, orderly, and smoothly," said Police Commissioner Erlan.
To secure the Presisi Merdeka Run 2026, Polda Jambi and Polresta Jambi will deploy approximately 1,750 joint personnel. All personnel will be assigned to their respective positions based on the established operational plans and division of responsibilities.In addition to deploying personnel, communication systems have also been prepared to ensure effective coordination throughout the event. These preparations are expected to enable security teams to quickly identify developments in the field and respond immediately according to their respective duties.
Every assigned officer is expected to perform their role professionally so that all activities during the Presisi Merdeka Run 2026 can provide a sense of safety and comfort for participants as well as the community around the event location.
"The Tactical Floor Game is an important step to ensure that all security personnel have the same understanding. This will allow the Presisi Merdeka Run 2026 to be conducted safely, comfortably, and provide a positive experience for participants and the public," Erlan stated.He emphasized that the readiness of security personnel is a key factor in ensuring the success of securing the large-scale event. Through systematic planning, potential security disruptions can be identified and prevented at an early stage.
The inspection was conducted to ensure that all security areas had been properly considered and optimally prepared. The responsible personnel also checked whether all designated routes for the event were in accordance with the established security plan.
Through this comprehensive series of preparations, Polda Jambi ensures that all security personnel are ready to support the successful implementation of the Presisi Merdeka Run 2026, allowing the event to take place safely, orderly, and successfully.
